Re: Thought I would share my happiness...

I've got a 67 SC plate for my truck, but I can't insure it as a daily and have a vintage tag (I think).

That plate looks new! Good score!

Looks great! I still haven't decided if I am going to leave my Classic Vehicle plates on, or register my brand new 1968 plates.

I suppose I should finish the truck first, eh?

Re: Thought I would share my happiness...

Alabama had a bill before the House that would allow us to run vintage plates on cars of the same year, but I never heard how the vote went.

I need to check it out.

Don....Did u just mentioned "a plate" ? Dont u have to have the set (2)
in order to register them to your vintage vehicle? Here in California u do. BTW nice score, I really love classic trucks/cars with their original plate/s of their era.

Re: Thought I would share my happiness...

I have THE '69 front plate I ran when I was in AZ. My younger brother "borrowed" the rear tag (w/decals) to run on his VW, because it still had some life. I have kept the front tag and have it on the front of my '69.

Does AZ require F/R tags, now? Here in AR we can run our tag on the front, or the back, on trucks.....due to work usage. Popo's don't like it when you do, if it is possible to run it on the back. I wonder how many other states will let you do that?

Nice score on the tag, BTW.

Re: Thought I would share my happiness...

Unless they changed it since I've been there, AZ only requires the rear plate still, like he's got above.

As soon as I can figure out whats wrong with my pay-pal and subscribe to this forum appropriately, I have hundreds of tags from the 20s up till pretty recent I'll be selling. If someone wants to subscribe me I'll gladly get them some plates shipped...

Arizona is one of the states where two plates are not required. I was hoping to find a pair, but I only got one. I work for a sign shop and have access to plate blanks, so I think I will reproduce a plate that looks close for the front. The one on the back is the one that has to be the real one! Current tags have to be applied to the back, but not required for the front. When you get new plates here, they give you two, but only require one, strange huh?

So many states allow it I can't imagine that they wouldn't let it pass...

But then again, Forrest Gump was from Alabama...

(both) "Alabama Sir!"

(Lt Dan) "Are you two related?"

(Gump) "No Sir, we are not relation..."
