Re: Rear shocks?

How is your rearend lowered? Lowering blocks, shorter springs, etc? I set up my buddy's '66 (shorter springs and 1-inch blocks) with a set of OE-type Monroe oil-filled shocks that are normally for the front (since they are a little shorter).

Re: Rear shocks?

I lowered my truck 5" in the rear and used the KYB gas shocks from ECE along with the relocator brackets. Sorry I don't have a photo of the shocks only the truck. It rides super nice.

Re: Rear shocks?

Where do the relocator brackets mount to? Got a c-notch on the back, with 5 inch drop coils.

Re: Rear shocks?

I'm using a 4" spring with this shock relocator kit.

I've got the shocks all i know is they are KYB. I can try to find a part number if needed. I'm also running a Super track bar.

Re: Rear shocks?

The shock relocator brackets attach just like your stock brackets. You will have the fun job of removing those "pesky" factory rivets. the upper brackets then mount up with grade 8 fasteners (included) and the lowers bolt to the rearend using the factory u-bolts. They place the shock at a more direct angle in relation to the suspension travel and really improve the ride. The KYB shocks are firm, but not a punishing ride. Best of luck.
