need help installing tahoe seats

I got the 2nd row seats out of a 96 tahoe. There the 60/40 split. Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to install? Thanks.

Re: need help installing tahoe seats

Do a search on "seat install" There are a bunch of threads with good info on installing 2nd and 3rd row seats in Blazers, Suburban and Pickups, front and rear situations. You can look and see which way works works best for you. Some replaced the whole floor pan, others used factory brackets, others fabed brackets. I went through the same drill for my Yukon seats and am going to fab some brackets that let me tilt the seats forward and remove them for access to the stuff that I'm putting under the seats.

Re: need help installing tahoe seats

I installed the front seat from a '96 Silverado into my '85 K20. To do this, I had to remove the '96 mounts from the seats, and fabricate a frame to tie the 60/40 together. I then fitted it onto the '85 slide mechanism in the truck, marked it, and welded it into place. I did find that I needed to mount the seat farther back on the mechanism, with the back more upright, than I really wanted. I did this to provide the legroom and adjustability I want.
