Where to buy shorty headers?

I found some in an older Jegs book. They were $250ish coated shorty headers. The book said GM sbc, and said 67-87, would all thoughs years be the same header? I can't find them on their site though. Where can I get shorties at? I want the exhaust up and outta site, and my trucks lowered so they hit all the time...lol.

Early Classic sells a very nice set. www.earlyclassic.com
Hit the catalog button, look under "New Items", about the fourth or fifth page.

Re: Where to buy shorty headers?

Some searches should bring up plenty of choices and all kinds of prices.

Re: Where to buy shorty headers?

I agree with Fastom, I have the Sandersons and they are great. Installed mine per instructions with black RTV, no loosen bolts and no leaks!

Re: Where to buy shorty headers?

Mine are the mid-length, just like the ones that Early Classic sells. Early Classic ordered mine because I'm running FastBurn heads. The headers they stock are normal SBC headers.

I have a set of ceramic coated headers on a 2001 dakota, and after a year they look like crap. I guess they will all start looking bad, doesn't mean I have to like it...lol.

Re: Where to buy shorty headers?

Oh, I don't have the stock frame mounts. I have the ones from the BB trucks. The ones that have the bolt thats slides thru the engine mount. I have the solid mounts also. Should a set of block huggers fit this? I do know that block huggers are about half the price as the shorties, and mids are.

Red69SS has block huggers. I love his engine bay also, and nothing appears cut up.

Maybe I'll message him, if he doesn't look on here.

Thanks for the help guys. Very nice engine bays, maybe one day mine will be as nice. I can only hope..lol

Re: Where to buy shorty headers?

I responded to your pm, thought I would post some pics(probaly 9th time i've posted these pics..sorry) there have been no modifications made to get these to fit ,but the engine is sitting in the 6 cylinder position so I can't say for sure they will work in v8 pos. ,hopefully in a couple months I can answer this question since my current project is closing in on having the engine placed in the chassis in v8 pos. they are summit brand block huggers($200)
