Re: anyone have a pattern for roof marker lights

I did it the same way, however, if this is to be a nice truck, you may wanna graft on the correct panel with the raised mounting pads. I didn't have enough room un there for the plugs, and ended up dimpling the inner panel to make room.

Re: anyone have a pattern for roof marker lights

if I remember right, the factory assembly manual has the dimensional info on placement. but as Andy said, you will have to take into consideration the fact that the factory mounts are not there. so a roof section with the proper bosses would be needed for a "show" quality install.

I have this info posted in the FAQ section but it's for the "fireman hat" style lights...

Re: anyone have a pattern for roof marker lights

Andy, after we PMd back and forth on this issue last week, I wound up ordering a set of chrome and amber aftermarket style lights for my truck. I didn't want to hassle with the inner headliner issues that you warned me about.

I appreciate your advice on this.

Talking Re: anyone have a pattern for roof marker lights

last week I ordered 5 "fireman's Hat" from the link below. They are the complete assembly (with gasket) and the are marked signal stat on the lense. $8.21 per light. Cheapest I found. Napa wanted over $22.

Very good to deal with.

Re: anyone have a pattern for roof marker lights

I have the one's that LMC sells and they are pretty decent looking replicas of my Yankee 77 firehat style. I haven't opened the yet but they should work nicely. I watched an NOS set go for bug bucks and couldn't spend themoney on them.. Every once in awhile a single NOS one shows up on Ebay, that's the way to get them..

Re: anyone have a pattern for roof marker lights

When I put factory marker lights on my`71 I didn`t have any problems with clearance for wiring them up.
