Sounds like good advice. I have a buddy who is a good Tig welder and very safety conscious. I'm hoping he'll point me in the right direction!

Another good safety tip. Don't wear tennis shoes. It's nothing like getting a red hot BB between your toes. If you can't get them off in a hurry, just grin and bear it.
 I speak from experience.

Covering up is good!!!!! I wear shorts year round here in desert. Last fall I welded some stuff on the floor between my legs and gave myself sunburn on my inner thighs
 . Didnt figure it out 'til the next day at work....
