6.5 td
Well, I know just about everything about 6.2's and Cummins 12 valve's, but almost nothing about 6.5's. I may be getting one very soon and want to know some performance companies for 6.5's. So far I have found that noone makes a 5" exhaust system for it. I've found a few intakes, I'll most likely get a Banks cold air. But they dont have any performance #'s. I want the best VROOM I can get. I'll probably get an exhaust system, cold air, new heads, an FSD heat sync, marine injectors, guages, ECM upgrade, intercooler, and many more upgrades. Hopefully I'll get around 1100lbft and about 500hp.

Re: 6.5 td
Heath Diesel.
Phone Bill (he is the owner). Tell him that 'Chris from Saskatchewan' sent you... BTW - not a lot of zoom in these trucks....check my sig... You will not get 500 HP. 300 RWHP is possible with the right information and parts - anything beyond that and the block just can't sustain the HP due to design restrictions.....open one up and you'll see what I mean.... EDIT - come over to dieseltowingresource.com and do some reading in the 6.5 section....

Re: 6.5 td
Look at the date of that post. It was made in 2004.
It has been raked over the coals numerous times....complete BS. Don't believe me? Phone Bill and ask him about his 500 HP 6.2 that he used to drag race back in the 80's. The engine did the trick, but it was no daily driver.....

Re: 6.5 td
I was looking at this thing and then I decided, 12 valve. Well, I can pick one up for about $1500. It'll probably take me a week or so to do the swap alone, but I've got a month before I can get a truck. Only time will tell. Thanks for the comments guys, if I decide to go 6.5 I'll tell Bill you guys sent me.
