any console picks

My son wants new tunes in the truck and he does not want to cut the dash. ( I know thats a debate in itself) Has anyone constructed a console for floor mount with bench seat that would hold unit as well as speakers on each side. This does not have to shake the earth just something mellow. (he's 18 maybe mellow was not the right choice of words. Have looked at overheads, did not care for them. has a/c glove box not really an option. Pics would be nice Thanks Gary
