car vs truck ralley wheels??

Is there any visual difference between the 5x4.75 bolt pattern car ralley wheels and the 5x5 bolt pattern pick-up ralley wheels?? ie are the slot holes the same size/shape? I am pretty sure both have only five per wheel... My project is gonna end up with the 5x4.75 bolt pattern up front and the 5x5 bolt pattern out back and if nobody can tell once the center caps and trim rings are on I am most likely heading in this direction to save $$$ for other parts of the project.

Re: car vs truck ralley wheels??

Car Ralleys, sometimes called Vette ralleys have 5 larger slots, while the original truck ralleys have a bunhc of smaller ones.

They make the vette style ralleys in the 5x5 pattern now too.

Awww...I was hopin`for a race.

Yeah,if you get the car-style truck bolt pattern rallyes like Wheel Vintiques sells they are the same appearance as the car bolt pattern rallyes. You couldn`t even tell the difference in bolt pattern w/o center caps.

I Believe both were avaliable. The
7" was standard and 8" was optional.

If I'm not mistaken the truck rallys for vans were 6 1/2" wide too.

I was under the impression that vans had 7 inch rallys.

Some were 6.5 Andy. My daughter's 82 C10 had a set of the 6.5.

My six-lug Vette-style ralley's are from Wheel Vintiques. With caps on them, you can't tell what they're off of.

Re: car vs truck ralley wheels??

i love the way vette style ralleys look on trucks. i threw a set of vette style ralleys on the abomintation, mostly cause those where about the only style that i liked that i could have gotten at the time and i can't be happier with them!! they make me feel all warm and fuzzy and happy on the inside, and sometimes they give me a bit of a cubby too!! the ones that i put on the abomination were 8" in the front and 10" in the back. thinking about getting a set for my 72. although i might go with the fenton 5 spoke kokes that i got from a junk yard for $50 after i get'em blasted, cleaned and powdercoated.
