Re: New Lift on my 71 Blazer

I'm at work for 72 hrs so I can't measure the distance between the crossmember and the oil pan but if i had to guess it's 1 to 1 1/2 in clearance. the brake lines are stock as there is still plenty of room to for flex.
As far as route 66, that sounds like a fun cruise. Have to let me Know the details.
If you are wondering about garage clearence the truck comes in at 6' 8", so it fits in the 7' garage with no problem.
The Deaver springs are located in Santa Ana, CA. the # is 714 542 2898 and the web site is deaversprings.com.

Re: New Lift on my 71 Blazer

That Blazer looks AWESOME! That is exactly the stance I would like mine to have. Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to take a stock blazer and put a 4" lift on it? I don't want shortcuts, but it doesn't need to ride like a caddy either! Any suggestions and pics would be great.

I'm putting a 4" lift on mine and bilstein shocks. What is the part #/length for them. Thanks. Mario

Beautiful Blazer. Do you have blocks in the rear? Or Deaver springs?

Looks awesome. Are you considering bigger tires?

Re: New Lift on my 71 Blazer

I put blocks on the rear because I wanted to retain as much a soft ride as
I could. I am planning on keeping 35" tires that are on it now. The best way to get a part # would be to call Deaver springs direct because they will ask you specific questions on how you are using the truck. Examples Towing, just cruising, rock crawling. So the springs will be made according to your needs. There phone # is on the first page of this thread.

Re: New Lift on my 71 Blazer

Sorry, I think i misled you. I was looking for the length and part number for the Bilsteins not the springs. let me know if you can. thanks, Mario.

Re: New Lift on my 71 Blazer

For those guys looking to lift their K-5. Check this site out. This is how I lifted mine. I spent a little extra for greaseable spring eyes and some other stuff but its a great kit. http://www.offroaddesign.com/
