louvers in cab trim

I saw a truck in the junkyard today. It looks like an 80 model stepside that seems to be in good shape. There is one thing unusual about it. The wide trim around the back of the cab has louvers.

Has anyone else seen a truck like that? Or is this a common thing on stepsides. Any ideas?

I've seen a few of them around here done like that, but it was way back in the '80s! ...Joe

I think Stull used to sell those trim pieces, back in the 80's,they also sold tube grills too.
