Re: kids these days...
My stepdad took me to my first car show when I was 7. I Took an immediate knack to it. When I turned 15, I bought an 86 swb. By the time I was 16, it had a stout 350, th400, slammed, and the widest tires the rear fenderwells would hold (and painted the most rebellious fire engine red I could find). I drove it all through high school, showing up most of the rich kids bmw's. 6 months after I moved off to college, someone stole it, and I never got it back. I had some money saved up, every single person in my family told me to put a down payment on a new car that got good mpg, so I could come home and visit...did i listen?? Of course not. I bought my 69 swb
Its been some trouble, but all of it is well worth it. I'm 21 now and I have never owned a fuel injected vehicle, nor have I ever gotten 20mpg out of any of em. And my land lord is not fond of my 56 short step either.....![]() Thought I would share my Kid story since the young crowd is speaking up here. lol. By the way NWD02, awesome truck!!!! Keep on truckin!!!
