How do you think I should restore this truck?
Ok, I have a mostly original '70 C-20 Custom Camper. I am planning on redoing it. But I also love the looks of a slammed shortbox. And I have a complete rolling shortbox frame. So I either rebuild the truck the way it is, or pull the body and engine and drop it onto the shortbox frame and slam it.
What are your guys' opinions on this?

I'd go with the others. There's no point in trashing a sweet truck like that for just the cab and the front clip!

i'd hate to see you part that thing out man, keep it and drop it if you like that. or make it all original and just have it real clean.

I think you guys are right. I love the custom slammed trucks, but I already have 2 cars. Guess I should just make it nice and clean, maybe even fuel inject it to make it a bit more modern.
Thanks! Reid p.s. here is the option decal.

Resto is the way to go with that one. you can always find parts for the custom shortbox, hard to find an origianal truck.

I would redo the truck that you have, the custom camper! And you can always find a differant cab and bed for your shortbox frame. That is my opinion. Good luck with your project.

Best of both worlds
Why not spend $2400 and have frame shortened and buy a short box.

No way man, that truck is too straight and too close to original shape. Hell, even the options sticker is still readable.

ok here ya go leave it long, slam it, chop the top, tint all the windows, get some hellacool rims and tires, paint it a cool color and chrome everything all the way down to the valvecaps on the tires. put a beefed up big block in it and have fun. hows that for an idea?

Ya, your right. I installed the wheels because it only had plane steel wheels when I got it. As for the rest of the truck, its pretty much completely original. Hell, I think it even had the original shocks on it! I did however install upgraded seat upholstery in it.
