Sorry about your loss. I had to put down my Jack Russell Terrier last year after he was run over.

Re: Some times growing up means letting go...

Our Rottie used to do the same thing on our bed. She'd also hop in any truck she saw if the tailgate was down, that got pretty funny at times.
I feel your pain, it's tough to see them go.

Re: Some times growing up means letting go...

A little update, I got an offer from a board member on the blazer tonight, I told him I would take it, so we will see if he follows through. I am hoping so, if so I am going to fly up north and get that truck I have been looking at.

Also, Going to be getting another Shepherd.

This is my new puppy, 4 days old. I am going to name him Cerberus. (pronounced SeBerus)

Hopefully everything will just come around like I need it to here.

If it alll works out I will be having a Longhorn man in magnitude trip flying from Texas to Minnesota then driving back in the new truck. We will see what happens.

I might even swing through and see her on my way back -

Sorry for your loss but it's great that you have found another pup so quickly. The fun of raising it starts all over again.
That sure is a great looking 88 dually. Has it been freshened up or is that the original paint and all? I have no real need for a dually but I'd go for that one.
And yes, you do need to go by and see her to show her the pup n truck. You might get in trouble if you don't go by. Tell ya what, since you got some extra room just load her up and take her back home with you.

I tried, she bites! *points to stitches*

The truck is an 88, has 63,000 original miles on it.

And the truck. Wow, original and low miles, now that's a great find.

Re: Some times growing up means letting go...

Glad to hear you found a new pup. This is my old man we lost 3 years ago. I keep his collar and think of him often. He ws born beside my bed and passed away beside my bed. Best dog I ever had by a long shot. We went through thick and thin together.

Re: Some times growing up means letting go...

Sorry to here about you losing your buddy......I gotta huge soft spot for dogs as well.

Lost my 11 yo Bull Mastiff a number of years ago and was there for her final breaths......without doubt, one of toughest things I've ever gone through.....and can still get me teary eyed even now.

Not sure what God was thinking when he gave us these wonderfull companions that don't live long enough.

A little tragedy every once in a while will make you truly appreciate how good you have it.
