Whats It Worth
Im looking to sell my '70 C20 cst. I have redone the steering and font brakes, and ball joints. I also put in new door seals and window seals and have many receipts for misc parts to get the heater working and so on. This is a california truck that is now in Northwest Indiana. It is rust free, I just dont have the time or my shop built. I used it as a daily driver. I dont want to let this truck go unrestored.

Re: Whats It Worth
My .02 worth.
It does have some pros and cons. First, the truck looks good and clean but you're limited by it being a long bed and a C20. I'm not saying that's bad, but someone looking for a vintage truck will probably want a shortbed, half ton first. At least that's what I see in these parts. It's sort of hard to give a figure since we know nothing about the rest of the truck, though. It's a nice rust free truck with good sheet metal. But first, you need to determine what you paid for it and what you have invested in it and start from there. Start with what you want and go from there. If you don't get any responses, you know you're asking for more than people are willing to pay. |

Re: Whats It Worth
Rustfree is a great thing.
Its not that hard to change over from 3/4 ton to 1/2 if someone wanted to save money. Put a price on it. Let the people decide if you in line, or out of line. Economy is a huge factor in price right now.

Re: Whats It Worth
I gotta agree with everyone else. First determine what all you have in it including purchase price and then decide on a price that you're comfortable with. Then post it for sale. Like the previous post said, if no body shows interest then come down on the price. In this market don't be surprised if you don't get what you want. If you don't need to sell it right this minute you might hold off until things get better or post it for sale for what you want and just go with it for awhile. You never know you might find someone who is looking for your exact truck and your price will be worth it to them.

Re: Whats It Worth
if he got it from the company that I suspecthe did, it'll be hard to get all his money back with the soft market of today.
I would clean it up, detail the crap outta it, and then put a number on it. You are lucky that it is a VERY clean truck in just about the worst part of the rust belt... you could get some coin. Don't be afraid to sit on it for a while on your price. |

Re: Whats It Worth
Not very funny. I talk to my uncle in upstate NY and he tells me about truck prices up there. Plus I check the upstate CL every week for trucks. And one more thing, I'm not a kid.

Re: Whats It Worth
I'm not from the rust belt, but I would say 6k or around there. Personally, if you had the funds and time, I would repaint the truck and rerun the exhaust system(for a cleaner look) and you could probably double that estimate or better. But the economy is slow and if you can hold on to it for now, I would personally until it picks up.
