AM-FM radio problem

Ok here is the deal, I had this radio redone by a guy on Ebay who sells these. This is an original AM-FM for our years. Anyway its been sitting for a couple years. I put it in the 72 with a new speaker, it was supposed to be the right one for our years, Chipflyer got the same speaker for his truck and it works fine. I turned on the key and something poped, the radio doesn't do anything, no sound nothing. Any ideas? Thanks for any help, Randy

Re: AM-FM radio problem

I wish I knew more about radios.I know the sound you mean.Did it do it once and now nothing,or does it just pop when you turn it on?

Re: AM-FM radio problem

I had something similar happen to my Camaro radio years ago after it had been rebuilt several year prior. I'll be watching this thread.

Re: AM-FM radio problem

sounds like you poped the power supply to the amp...... what little amp there is. I would get in touch with the rebuilder and send it back for a recheck
