Seat Upgrade! What did you use?

We have a 72 K-10 project and are looking for ideas for seats. Our donor truck is a 2003 Silverado SS and the seats are comfortable with lots of features. However, they are also quite bulky and take up a lot of room!!! I wanted to use them, as they are in good condition, but they do not fit. ANy ideas of other seats that are less bulky?

Re: Seat Upgrade! What did you use?

Why did they not fit? Seems to me people have been putting a lot of newer chevy seats in to our old trucks? Or are you just looking for something smaller for more cab room?

Re: Seat Upgrade! What did you use?

The seats fit in the cab but the brake pedal sticks out so far that it is not really reasonable to put the seat that close to it. The back of the seat is so thick and bolstered, whereas some others are much thinner, so it sits much further forward in the cab. Does anyone have pics of those seats installed in the truck?

Glide Engineering makes a good seat. Kind of pricey, but we enjoy ours.

Re: Seat Upgrade! What did you use?

I've got a 91 chevy truck 60/40 bench in my truck. It fits pretty good ,and they're usually not too hard to find.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Has anyone else had issues with the brake pedal sticking out too far? What other seat options are there? Please post pics of seat installs.

Seat upgrade or seat change?A good upholstery shop can upgrade your seat to anything you want.I`ve seen contoured seating made from factory seats.

x2... nothing looks better than a stock seat, or a reworked stock setup. It always keeps those judges/onlooker's guessing.

2nd-row Tahoe seat, from a '98. It doesn't slide, but it has tilting seat backs and room for storage under the passenger seat.
