Fame question

Im picking up my 72 K20 X-plow truck in a few weeks, the frame is very rough. The truck comes with an extra frame, its in nice condition and came off of a 2wd Longhorn, I plan on putting all my suspention on it. Im thinking that all the 4WD suspention will bolt on in the rear but will it all work up front? Will there be any issues with the Longhorn frame being taller? Thanks

Re: Fame question

Im curious about the 2wd frame to 4x4 swap myself

IIRC 4x4 frames have a higher kick up than 2wd frames for more clearance
And obviously the longhorn frame will be 6" longer

Hopefully somebody else will chime in & tell you for sure

Re: Fame question

up front where the suspention goes on, it is the same total height as the lesser trucks if memory serves.
The frame will be taller, the metal thicker, and also an added 6 inches in wheelbase.
