Cable conversion?
Just wondering if anybody has come across a cable conversion kit to get rid of the automatic shift linkages, that still work with a factory type column?

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/2-COLU...E-KIT,406.html I made my own. Picked up a B & M floor shifter at swap and used the trans bracket and cable and made my own for the end of the column. Has worked great for 6 years. |

I bought the Lokar and installed it and took it right back off. My experience was that I couldn't tell where my gears were. When shifting it felt like there was no distinct position for the gears to lock into. But I have seen other guys use them on their trucks.
