Post problem With the Choke

The choke on my quadrajet is rivited on how can i remove the choke to replace it. I bought two books on it the haynes and a chilton and it's not in any of the two how to take it off. i know i can use a 1/8ths drill bit and drill the rivit head off but i would like to know of an easier way if there is. Good news is gas gauge problem is fixed along with the horn not working and I gt my truck running it's running ok it's takes off ok but after that it just doesnt kick in to the passing gear like it should anyways once electronic choke is replaced it should be running up to par. Oh yea and also fixed the vacuum leak brother in law put the wrong gasket on the intake. thanx

Drilling is the easiest way. the rivits are pretty soft but be sure to be centered up and not use to big a bit. after you pop the rivits yo can use self cutting screws to reattach it. Chevy sells them if all else fails. hardware store or copperstate would hav them too.
