Mike,
The problem is the cold weather. I would warm up the truck to at least 100 degress before driving. Heat the truck more if it's extremely cold. Oil flow in cold weather will hurt your tranny. Warmup the truck so the tranny oil will heat up. I had my tranny builder recommend 10 minutes of warm up during my tranny rebuild break-in. If the tranny shifts fine I would not worry unless the truck has a lot miles. Check your oil regularly and warm it up. ------------------ Gerardo 1983 Custom Truck TX Plates: "BAD BOW" http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/ |

While that is good advice, there is something not right. A tranny shouldn't slip, cold or not.
When was the last time you did a filter and fluid R&R? What color is your fluid now? Does it smell or taste burnt? How many miles on it? ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350.
