Re: Anyone with Lexan?
the safest way to do it is to screw/bolt it from the outside. of course you can cut it right and just seal it in like a glass window. since lexan bends im always kind of worried about an edge coming at me in the event of somthing bad happening.
did all the windows on a s-10 a few years back just used self tappers the whole way around and then siliconed it smooth on the outside. this was strictly a drag truck tho and the job wasnt pretty.

Re: Anyone with Lexan?
To do it right you use rubber to bring the lexan out flush with the body and use counter sink screws. You should paint a black border around the edges. To do this tape off the part you don't want painted and sand and paint it on the back side.
A right angle electric or air grinder with a sanding disc helps to shape the lexan once you get it close to the right size with a jig saw. For side windows in our trucks I would use aluminum channel to mount the lexan in the track.

Re: Anyone with Lexan?
For my back window I used the original rear window to cut the initail shape of the new window . I then used a compass set at 1/2 " and scribed a mark around the cut out window shape . My Lexan came with plastic on both sides of the window to protect against scratches . The scribe mark cut this plastic and i pulled it off . Buffed it with a scotch brite pad and painted it black to clean up the look . I put it in place and drilled all the holes . Ran a bead of winshield latex around the frame and pop rivited it in the indention . Then i pulled the plastic protectant after everything cured . It came out pretty good i think .
