Exclamation rear mount gas tank questions

whats goin on guys i went and bought that rear mount tank from LMC and got it all in fine and everything but the sending unit acts like it is a different amount of ohms for the guage, i know the original sending unit in the tank behind the seat was 90 ohms and the guage works fine with that but with the rear mount one it only goes up to 3/4s tank even with the unit out of the tank and me holding it all the way up

hope somebody can help

Re: rear mount gas tank questions

I was thinking the sending unit was 0-30ohm. Do you have an ohm meter to check your old sending unit vs new?

Re: rear mount gas tank questions

The original 60's fuel gauge is 0-30ohms not 0-90 ohms. You can order another sending unit and keep the 90 just in case you ever change your gauges. Or maybe someone here knows which resister to use to get it to read right.
