700R4 behind a 250 I6 - TV cable hook-up
I am planning on swapping my 3 speed manual to a 700R4. I bought a 700R4 that has 100k miles and is still good but I am going to have it gone through. I also got the driveline w/yoke, tranny cooling lines, converter, TV cable, torq converter and the starter. I know I am going to by a cross member from some overdrivebowtie website but I didn't see the tv bracetry. Has anyone on here done this swap or seen any brackety for this or linkages/cables to make this conversion? I know the TV cable is very important.

This is all I have seen for the other Rochester Carbs. Only 2 BBLs. May have to buy a kit and do a little Fab work?

A stock auto crossmember will work fine, just needs to be moved back a little. I would call bowtie overdrives and get there opinion on what tv bracket you need.

Grancuda, I hope you have better luck than I have. I bet they have something for you. I put a clifford 4bbl intake and Edl carb I haven't found anything that will work so I'm swapping to a TH350.

You might have to fab up a bracket. Here's some info of the specifications:

Frank (pickmup) has done this conversion and might offer some insight.

Re: 700R4 behind a 250 I6 - TV cable hook-up
IMO, I would take an existing cable bracket and modify it before I wouldgo to the extreme of down grading to a TH350...

Re: 700R4 behind a 250 I6 - TV cable hook-up
I have seen trucks at the bone yard that have had 250/700r4's in them. The TV cable ran over the valve cover,so did the accelerator cable.(integral head.)
