Re: no more buckets for me

the only thing is that i sit about 2-3inches higher than before but even then its just something to get used to since i forgot to make up for sinking in the cushion before

got in it today after it sitting out and it was fine, even left it in the open sun to test out in the parking lot and it was still fine, i think its really comfortable, makes me sit up instead of slouch, just have to pull the belt tight so i dont slide to much

That seat makes a school bus seat look comfortable .I wondered about you sliding around. It would be cool to make one using lawn chair webbing.Talk about casual.

Keep telling yourself that. Maybe I am missing something but that looks excruciating. Not dogging your work, because I sure couldn't do it. I just don't see it being very practical.

Re: no more buckets for me

You could build one like that that uses a metal frame with a sling cloth seat and it would be pretty comfy like some of the sling type deer stands.

That being said, I'm going to stick wth my buddy buckets.

No more dragtruck for me. I'm building a new ride though. It's a '71 fleetside, 400 sbc, 700R4. Working on it now, finally. Soon to have Edelbrock Pro Flo EFI, Vintage Air, 1 piece windows, buddy buckets, etc.

My new build thread:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...17#post2861817

Best pass with the old dragtruck:
5.32 @ 131.6 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.25 60' Fogger/Plate 2003

Best pass with the street 406 hydraulic roller motor w/ mild plate tuneup
5.93 @ 114 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.29 60' 2003 or 2004

Re: no more buckets for me

It's got a cool rat rod feel to it, which I can tell matches the truck by the Betty and spider web on the dash. I like it, great fab skills!

Re: no more buckets for me

Looks like a park bench, you might come out one morning and find a homeless person sleeping on it! I'm glad its your butt and not mine.

Re: no more buckets for me

My buddy's slammed S-10 has a "No Fat Chicks" sticker on it. You should put a "No Skinny Chicks" sticker on yours-she'll need her own padding.

Looks cool though. Looks more comfortable than some of the things I've had to sleep on!
