repair plastic on hood ornament

the hood ornament I'm looking I'm buying looks like it's cracked inside the plastic...I was wondering if I could possibly take a heat gun and he it up and maybe get the cracks to go away some...here's a link to the emblem...it's at the bottom...thanks...

Re: repair plastic on hood ornament

maybe...I'll have to wait until I get it, but it looks to be internal to me not external...so I don't know whether the polish will work or not...thanks...

Re: repair plastic on hood ornament

If you find a way to fix it let us know. My street coupe hood ordament has a few small cracks. Are the 6.2 hood ornaments hard to find? I think I have one and its in way better shape.

Re: repair plastic on hood ornament

You could sand it down smooth (Or remove it all) and put some Behr Super Gloss Build 50 on it. It is what they pour on tabletops that is thick and clear.
