Got it fired up today

Well, after several years of collecting dust in the garage, I did a bunch of stuff to it, then fired it up. Got it out of the garage on it's own power, but it has a frozen caliper, can you guess which one Hehe. I'll get to that next. At least it runs...Here are a couple of pics...Thanks to this forum, I have been re motivated to get it going again. I can't believe it myself, but just before I joined the board, I was actually thinking of selling it. That is most def not going to happen now. Oh, and if you guy's want to rag on me for how dirty & neglected it is...BRING IT ON...I deserve it, and it will serve as a reminder to never let my truck get like this again...

Wow! Wish mine looked like that if I was able to pull it out of the garage, lol. Looks great, I bet it washes up real nice. Maybe a good buff too. A set of 20's would set it off, or a little drop.

That is a beauty - can't wait to see it cleaned up. Glad the board motivated you to not sell it!!

Re: Got it fired up today

Yor's helps me get motivated!! Once the 4X4 Blazer is gone the 2wd project is coming home and getting worked on!! It needs a motor and trans and an interior, etc, etc and some minor rust fixed and painted, but I am going to get it up and running and drive the snot out of it, the rust will wait, it has taken 36 years to get it to where it is, so I can enjoy it for a few years before I have to fix it!!

Beautiful, I'll bet you are glad you kept it, I have sold several of the Blazers and Burbs before I knew what I had!! 69 4X Blazer with AC (first year!) 72 loaded with skid plates, auto, ac, aux tanks, roof rack, etc, etc 72 Highlander Burb with AC, etc, etc and I feel like I gave them away because I had no idea the significance of the extras or the "1st" year etc.

Yeah, I've sold to many Blazers (4x4's), and to many factory muscle cars in the past. I think that when it would come down to really selling it, I couldn't do it I'm sure.
I felt lucky when I bought it almost 15 years ago, feel even luckier to still have it...I really do love my Blazer
