ride height on jack stands

i was just wondering how everyone else determines ride height when you got the vehicle on the jack stands. i know i measure a hundred diffrent ways to get mine, was just wondering if you chassis guys had a shortcut for the rest of us novices. thanks.

depends on what you are trying to accomplish....... is this a truck that has air on it ... air being put on it and you are trying to determine what it is going to look like or what
