Different

I was looking at all the stuff I pulled off the C-20. I noticed that it didnt have a front sway bar...nor did it look like it ever had one. I was pulling out the front wiring harness and noticed no marker lights...nor was there holes in the back of the lenses to put lights in. No lighter in the dash. Just a hole and in the glove box I found a plug for the hole.

just some interesting things I found out about the truck I would share

anyone else seen these deleted items?

Re: Different

Last year I bought a '67 C-20 long bed stepper and it appeared to be all original. It had no radio, no lighter, only the driver's side sun visor. It did have the radio delete plate. The were no holes for a passenger side sun visor. Also it had the seat that tips forward.

I have heard that some of the early '68 model trucks had side markers in the fenders, but no wiring or place for bulbs.

Re: Different

68 and 69 had reflectors as base equipment. They were optional in those years. They were required on daul rear wheel trucks, along with the clearance lights on top, but all that cost extra on top of the DRW converson.
The sway bar was an option clear up to 72. Not sure when they became standard equipment. It was included in the custom camper package though.

Re: Different

I have probably seen more trucks without the sway bar. As far as the marker lights go, as andy said, still an option on the lighter duties into 69. My 69 has the cst side markers without holes for the lights. I believe the lighter was optional also.
