HELP QUICK!!!!smelly gas tank/shuddering brakes

My girlfreind has noticed a bad smell coming from her gas tank....a strong kind of burned smell...not like rubber burning or oil or even exaust fumes. What could it be....it comes and goes. Also she told me that her brakes have been shuddering...like they catch and slip very quickly. Any Ideas....

1 or more of your rotors could be warped or worn ..... my 71 does this ...... try gently pumping the brakes and notice if it changes any ..... i did this for a month or so and my shudder has gotten better and not so violent .... if you figure out exactly what it is or what helps let me know

peace

If the smell from the gas is inside the truck, try replacing the seal at the tank....

And possibly the rubber hose on the filler.....

Drums sound warped, recommend having them turned down or replaced. Don't just do one side, do both at the same time. Also, could she possibly have an exhaust leak? My dad had a leak on his '66 and had a funk like you wouldn't believe back when we were running it too rich. Just my ideas.
