Post Ammeter guage not working on the 74

where would the fuse be for the ammeter
cuz i have a feeling thats why it aint working but if not the fuse, what else could it be?

Hooter,

I don't think there is a fuse. I'll have to check my '83 book just to know for sure. Is it an actual amp meter or voltmeter? I have digital gauges in my truck. The voltmeter is tied directly to a power source on the mounting bracket.

very common for the ammeter equipped dashes to fry a little piece of the copper track on the printed circuit on back of the cluster. Removal is necessary to verify though.also known for the gauge itself to go bad.1973-75 only on the ammeter though. DAVE
