towing
I towed over 8000 pounds of shingles i was surpirsed beacuse my friends 95 chevy 1/2ton strugled pretty bad with it.
im glad to know my truck can pull that much im woundering how much i could realy pull... maybe 10k? |

What it can pull and what is SHOULD pull are two different things
You need to check the owners manual as to what the capacities are

Pulling that much is a nice feeling and these trucks will do it . The bad feeling is trying to stop that load in an emergency situation .

i was carefull and braked like i was in a rig
it reversed no problems also wich was a great feeling |

i have hauled way too much with my trucks......tractors, 40' gooseneck with a 1949 and a 1972 chevy truck with a half ton, i know its not right but the trailer brakes would stop the whole deal without using the brake pedal in the pick-up.......does that make it unsafe??? i have hauled 104,000 pounds on a semi tractor trailer, all legal with permits and lights and placards.......is it safe?? yes and no, but what i am saying is that anything can happen even if u tow or even drive by the book, some people should never even hook onto a trailer, that where the people on the 6 o'clock new come from you know what i mean??
