Yep, I asked him why all the guys on the 67-72 board dogged him and he told me they were all assholes who didn't know what they were talking about.

He said his chrome shop had been open for 20+ years without a local complaint. I kinda chuckled when he said that as I was looking at his crappy chrome. My buddy ordered about $150 worth of stuff from him on the spot. He got it all and miraculously it all fit fine.

When talking to him, I realized why everyone hates him so much....he's a talker that you can barely shut up. I imagine a good smackin' to the jaw woulda done the trick, but those days are well in my rearview.

Basically he's a slimeball that will remain in business no matter what anyone does to him. As long as I am around to tell about it, no one that I come in contact with with buy from him. Our club isn't huge, but we do know more than a few local folks.
