need help

im having trouble getting my truck to turn over.ive checked all the electrical parts plugs are sparking but im getting no fire.sometimes it will upchuck through the carb.what am i doing wrong.thanks for your help.btw the motor is a olds 350

Sounds to me like your timing is off for some reason... Or the spark plug wires are installed wrong.

Could use more info.

Was it running before and all of a sudden doesn't run?

When you say plugs are "sparking but no fire" do you mean you're getting spark when you crank it but the engine is not starting?

Like Lockdoc says timing could have jumped (worn timing chain) or plug wires not installed right.

yes truck ran before,yes i mean sparks when cranking motor,timing chain and gear are new and yes the dots on the gears were lined up when replaced.ive had the plug wire everywhere but off.all i now it has me stumped?thanks for the help so far

it now runs after not running for well over a year.i rechecked for tdc,rewired the distribitor,andf added fresh gas and octane booster,it turned over an ran like a champ.i thank all for there help
