Best carpet?

I've seen a thread somewher but can't seem to find it now. Who makes the best carpet? Is all the manufactures the same? I've got a '71 c10 with the low hump. Also can you get carpet that covers the inside gas tank to help keep it quieter, or is that a big no-no? Someone mentioned putting padding and carpet over the factory tank so you don't hear the gas sloshing back and forth. I didn't know if that would cause friction inside the tank. Static electricity and gas are bad.
