Yep, I corrected you. I'm trying to make sure the fellow doesn't spend his hard earned cash on stuff that won't work for him. I've built a couple of trucks a year now for about 17 years. I have surely wasted plenty of money learning these things. I'm trying to save him the heartache. And, you're being overly sensitive in your reaction.

Re: been thinkin bout gettin some wheels...
Thanks Tx for clearing this thread up, it was about time. I agree, 4 wheel discs are pretty exotic for a 16 year old, and I assume you won't be carving corners in your truck any time soon. I vote for a cheap 71-72 5 lug swap, then find some decent 15 inch wheels (Cragers, TTII's) and cruise in style. But they are right, there are a lot more 6 lug choices these days, and not all of them look like barf or whatever. It all depends on how much money you have to spend

Re: been thinkin bout gettin some wheels...
Hey, I was 16 once. I know money is tight. Here is a plan for your budget.
Rebuild all 4 wheel brakes: Remanufactured master cylinder 17.99 Set of rear brake shoes 23.99 Set of front brake shoes 23.99 All new springs, adjusters, holdowns, clips for front and rear 46.00 rear brake hose 30.00 pair of rear wheel cylinders 22.00 pair of front brake hoses 22.00 Pair of rear wheel cylinders 22.00 Grand total of 185.97 for everything. All these parts show in stock on the shelf at my local O Reilly parts store. With all of this, you have 100 percent new brake parts for years and years of service. Worst case, turning all 4 brake drums and tax and everything, you're out 250 dollars max. Go here and read my FAQ about building a set of rear lowering blocks for 25 dollars... http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=196457 Buy these front springs for 83 a set... http://store.summitracing.com/partde...216+4294908213 Get it aligned locally for about 50 bucks... Now, you've spent 425 dollars and your truck is lowered front and rear and has all new brake stuff front to back. It will ride good and stop well. While you're ordering your front springs, get say 4 of these at 90 dollars each. Shipping is free since you're already ordering the springs... http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Pay 60 locally to have the wheels installed and your old tires balanced on them. Now, you've spent 845 dollars. Your truck stops like brand new, it is lowered front and rear, and you've got a set of nice looking wheels installed. 845 may seem like a lot, but I included turning the drums, tax on the brake parts, an alignment, handling charge on the springs and wheels, mounting, balancing, the whole enchilada.
