When converting from a TH 350 to a 700R4, I didn't have to drill any new holes in the frame.
The way I did it was to move the crossmember as far forward as possible while still using the existing holes in the frame.
I then made a simple rectangle shaped bracket out of 1/4" flat steel plate
approximately 4"X6" with 4 holes drilled in it to allow the trans mount to bolt to the bracket and the bracket to bolt to the crossmember. It's simple and works perfectly.
