Re: tell boat what you think.

i went and stopped and looked today and snapped a couple quick ones.nobody answered so i don't know much.it's got power windows and locks and an a/c control.the inside is a total mess it really turned me off.the body is primered in such away that it look's like it was applied to hide something.it just wasn't the look of ready to put on paint type primer.although on quick inspection it looked solid.the hood and doors didn't fit.the wing window frame's are rusted bad.the bed wood is bad.and full of plug wires.a new rotor cap sat on the seat, kinda like they were trying to make it run.as iv'e noticed it hasn't moved in along time.tires were bald.it looked alot better at 15 mph.and look's better in these pic's than in person.all in all about a $750.00 truck.i just didn't get a feel good feeling about it.i'm gonna watch it and if it's still around in time maybe i'll lowball him.anyway, here's the pic's.oh,the blazer across the street was *****in though.

Re: tell boat what you think.

Is that 10" rims on the rear?

I would sit back and wait a while. Maybe ask him if you could test drive it.

Re: tell boat what you think.

I'd wait a little while and lowball on that one also if it were me. They likely did primer it to try to hide some kind of damage, but unfortunately the damage they were trying to conceal usually doesn't show up until after you buy it. At least that how it usually works for me.

I see what you mean about trying to figure out what year it is by the grille. It has an 81 or 82 front bumper on it which doesn't help, but you could take a quick peek and see where the wiper switch is located. If it's on the dash it's an 81-83 and if it's on the turn signal stalk it's an 84-87. At least it would narrow it down a bit. ...Joe

Not a bad looking truck for the money. It is valued at what it is it sounds like to me. Might be worth a test drive for the heck of it. How solid was the underside???

I could be wrong, but from here, it looked like the "Blazer" across the street says "GMC" on the rear panel. Which would make it a Jimmy.

Stepside is nice looking, but... needs a little foosification!!!

It amazes me that in WA, at the end of December, the trees can be bare but the grass be green. I miss it!

my grass is white kenny...in town, where the truck is, it's at sea level and last week's snow is gone.if you drive 3 mile's into the hill's where i live we still have a foot of snow on the ground.the truck appear's to be solid...but,this is one of the rainiest region's in the u.s.rust is a big item around here.i'll watch it and see if he get's hungry.the money i'd have to stick in it.would be of more use on my 79.iv'e got stuff i wanna do to it.

Re: tell boat what you think.

as i said earlier in this thread, its a shape shifter, a 81-82 bumper and 85-88 grille, so i assume its a 81-82
