Looks like a pretty nice truck. What does it have for a motor/trans combo? What are the plans for it?

Looks like it is missing the cover plate on the dash, under the steering column, but those are easy to come by....

350 with 4 bolt mains and TH350. They've been pulled out of the truck. The plan is to build a 383 out of the original block and beef up the tranny, add a shift kit, and a 2000-2500 stall converter. I'll brobably go with a 3.5-5 or 4-6 drop after I get it running.

Can anyone tell me if the type of mirror on the pickup on the left of the 1st picture is used by many people? I have a set in perfect condition but don't like them because i am afraid of hitting them on trees on my property!

It's called "Below Eye-Line Mirror". If you need them because you're using the truck to tow something, they're way better than the smaller door-mounted mirrors.
