Re: Is this truck worth $2200?

If it was me I would rather sale the 4-wheeler for cash and put that money into the truck I have now. It is much easier to have one nice project than two 1/2 way projects.

Check the cab for any rot or bondo hiding anything. Since it is SWB, if the cab is good, it is porbably a good trade. That is with a cab needing no work. Otherwise, he needs to sweeten the deal for you.

Look at the trucks for sale on the board, there are no short wides that look that good for this price. I say go for it you can always sell your LWB and get some money to fix up this SWB and have better looking truck.

Re: Is this truck worth $2200?

Just my opinion oldblue, I have recently found a 69 swb that has been done frame off, it's about 95% put back together, the only body work that needs done is passenger rocker panel. 350 with automatic completely gone through, brand new grill, brand new seat cover, extra set of doors and various other odds and ends where the owner went back to a stock look and it is sitting in primer for 2000.00 I'm gonna buy it because I think it is worth it. If I thought I could finish the work with minimum difficulty, then get and be a proud owner of chevrolet history. just my 2 cents.

Re: Is this truck worth $2200?

i would say that this truck is worth 1000 to 1500 considering how common the short beds are... if it was a longhorn is that condition it would be worth it. you're reall going to have to look at it for rust bad bondo things like that just to see how much work you're going to have to put into it. but....... the interior looks like its in great condition check to make sure there's no rotting it may be just depends on what you find lets us know!
