Color difference between Med Blue/WHite and Dark Blue/White PICS?

Anyone have pics of their Med Blue/White truck and/or Dark Blue/White Truck? Will paint my truck in the future with one or the other.

Re: Color difference between Med Blue/WHite and Dark Blue/White PICS?

Are the 2 tone pics of a "medium" blue or "dark" blue truck. That's what I'm having trouble figuring out. Can someone tell me which one is DARK blue and which is MEDIUM.

Thanks in advance.

They areboth the same color, blue.Just different shades.

When looking at older paint jobs it`s hard to tell the difference.

Here is mine, I shot the inside of the bed this summer with PPG 510 Medium blue. The 2 tone code listed on the SPID is 481 - wht/med blue/wht.

Re: Color difference between Med Blue/WHite and Dark Blue/White PICS?

There you go crasten, mine and stock72c10's (and I think a few others) are made from 510 medium blue and Scotts truck is 523 dark blue . It is a bit darker but hard to tell the difference when looking at pics of them on the web.

Hope it helps you decide.

Re: Color difference between Med Blue/WHite and Dark Blue/White PICS?

My truck is a "90's version" of GM's medium metallic blue. I can't remember the exact year, but I saw it in a color book and loved it.

Re: Color difference between Med Blue/WHite and Dark Blue/White PICS?

Thanks guys. These are all great looking trucks. My spid lists my truck as a dark blue, but I'm liking the med blue too. I had trouble telling the difference, but now after comparing both colors I can see the difference. I've received feedback from many members to keep my truck "as is", but it's sure hard not to give my truck a facelift. Some of the paintshops around here need work so many of them a giving great deals on paint jobs. I'm keeping in mind "buyer beware" ,but from what I've seen one shop do...the paiont jobs look pretty good. I'll make a decision soon. THanks again!
