I dont think so, usually thats on the floorboard by the seat,, I think I saw the switch down there on some other pics... dont think its a choke or manual throttle either, those are usually on the dash itself..

Re: nice LongHorn on CL

That knob is for a FACTORY auxiliary tank. Some are black and some have the "chrome" center just like the windshield and light knobs.

You are correct, that switch is for the factory installed auxillary tanks as opposed to the dealer installed which is on the floor.

Re: nice LongHorn on CL

BTW
That looks like a fairly clean truck for that part of the country, and If I come across another 402BB Longhorn I am going to be all over it, assumng funds are in the ol checking account.

Partially correct. The valve to switch between tanks is still floor mounted (see pics), that knob is to switch sending units to the gas gauge, as factory installed saddle tanks each had sending units.

Looks to be a highlander too, first highlander equipped longhorn I've seen, probaby a pretty rare surviver

I agree. Very nice survivor. The only thing I think would make it better would be the original green firewall.

Switch is located on the floor on the drivers side. You can see it in the pic below the one referenced on the CL listing. I'd copy it here if I new how.
