Seat belts

Where can we buy new seat belts for our square trucks? All I see in the LMC catalog are lap belts and I looking for the shoulder belt assemblies for both the LH and RH side. And all I can find at the bone yards are Suburban and Blazer belts which are different. All the truck belts I could find are in poor shape.

Anybody have any leads?

Re: Seat belts

I bought some of these a few months back, not GM belts but fit and work great.

Re: Seat belts

Thanks everybody.

I have a few more bone yards to walk through to see if I can find any decent OEM belts. I not real keen on the idea of the aftermarkets but may have to go that route. The belts in Cyclone's link are actually the same ones we use today in our production commercial chassis (Workhorse step vans) so I might be able to pick a set of up through our service parts group a bit cheaper. I think ours are only available in black though. I would like dark grey or dark blue.

Re: Seat belts

Are any of these actually BOLT IN or direct replacement ? Looks like you might need to do a little adapting with some brackets at least.

Either way, does anyone have pics of these aftermarket belts installed ? Sure sounds like a better option than my frayed and sun faded belts but I'm not sold on them yet.

Re: Seat belts

Dirtylarry, find a local upholstery shop that can change your webbing in your retractors and then paint your plastics with SEM paint. Thats what i did after not being able to find any factory black seatbelts at a decent price.

Thanks ! Those actually look really nice. My only worry is that female buckles that come with the kit look like they are the hard type for bucket seats and I still have a bench seat.

The lap belt kits have the correct female buckle on a short length of belt though. I supposed I could buy 3 point belt setup and then 3 of the lap belt kits @ $15 each and have a complete setup ?

What did you have to do mount the retractors ?

I just took the cover off the female part of the belt and it worked great.

I bought the an achor kit from autoloc for like $15 (basicly just angle iron).

Nice ! That makes more sense. I'm gonna have to seriously consider these as an option. Thanks for all the pics and info.
