the safety switch is on the column.
If that plug has a single spade on it, then it is the electric kickdown. If it is a double, then it is the kickdown, and the transmission controlled spark (TCS) which was an early smog control device that kept the timing from being advanced untill the engine was up to temp, and in final drive ratio.

Yes it is a singel Spade, So Do I not need it if I have no electric kickdown? Heres a picture of the passenger Side with Vacum line in it and a Close up of the Single spade I am asking about! Thanks guys...
