Seats

I have been rummaging wrecking yards out here, and can't find any bucket seats that look right..

Can anyone out there tell me what has worked for them?? I have the original bench seat with a nice new cover, but looking at some of the trucks on this sight is really motivating me to customize my interior!! I am looking for some nice black buckets with a center console...Leather maybe, electric??

Any advice would make my day..

Thanks,

Dan'O

How about a nice black leather power bench from a Lincoln town car or Cadillac? These are like sitting on a sofa! Just try not to fall asleep.

I have been looking at these seats for a while. They are about the same size and shape as the stock buckets if you order them without the headrests. At $399 for new leather seats it is a pretty good deal. You could easily spend more than that restoring a set of stock ones. You can get lumbar, heaters, and 6 way power, but the price goes up in a hurry. You could probably use a stock console with them or they have many custom ones on the site. Check it out,

I pulled some out of a 92 crown victoria. 8 way power/leather. They fit almost too good. The only problem is there is a 4-6 inch gap between them. 50/50 bench. Of course, that is always a good place for a megashifter. I got mine for 75 bucks. if you cant find the right color, most upholstery shops can buy a kit for 300 bucks for both seats. Cant beat that in my opinion. Plus, the controls are on the seat vice in the door on most lincolns and cadillacs. So thats my 2 cents.

Dano,

If you are interested in getting rid of your bench, let me know...I am looking to remove my buckets and console in favor of a bench. I would be more than happy to hook up wih you sometime as I would like to see your ride.
