Okay guys I need some help. I have aquired a couple radios and radio brackets over the last year or so. I did not realize that there are more than one until today when I went to put it back in. look at the pics and tell me how to do it which one goes where etc. Its going inot a 71 c10 lwb with the am pushbutton radio option # 1u63am. looking at them all has me confused now. pics would also be helpful so I can see i finished thanks guys.

awesome thanks I see now. I have 4 radios 3 speakers and 4 brackets and not one of those little brackets "figures" on the back of the radio so next question is who has a spare?

You have the right brackets and they are all the same... the strap is bent from original being ripped out etc. Hard to tell but it looks lie you need the bracket that mounts to the back of the radio. The firewall brackets are always the hardest to find for me and you have three! The set you have in top let of your picture is put together correctly. Slid speaker in support frame, Mount the firewall bracket with support strap left off, then after speaker installed, install radio with retaining cups, then install the retaining strap last. NON-AC trucks are infinately easier than AC trucks especially if all components are in place, but as scott said It can be done- takes between 30 and 45 minutes. Plug in speaker wire as you slide in radio across the ashtray, there is only wa it will plug in so don't worry about crossing something. You can plug in by sticking your hand under dash near oil guage or through radio hole. IF ac truck I found it easier as I moved radio across ashtray to push in radio preset buttons to gain more room. If this is confusing, once you start in with ityou will understand. Also you don't have to have the rear radio tab for everything to stay put, the cups will provide the support the radio needs to stay put.

maybe if you have the bracket that goes to the back of the radio then I have the firewall bracket for you
