Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
Still on a 69 3/4 ton.. not rusty!!
Does have heavy damage on drivers fender.. minor damage on passenger fender, all of the wood floor is still intact.. front panel is nice.. tailgate is toast.. all of the spare tire rack is present.. with exception of the factory lock.. $150.00 ... the only catch is you must remove. (I will help) or take the entire rolling chassis if wanted.. (cab and rear axle carrier not included) |

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
Rene..
Yes it does!! It can come with all of the 19.5"s and a complete rolling chassis if you like... (I will even toss in a few bent fenders, core support, a step rear bumper and other various metal pieces) As soon as I remove the built 250 6 cyl and the rust free cab I will even deliver it to your house!! (unless you need a cab too??) I just thought I would offer it here before it all goes to the scrapper later this week .. |

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
Jeff. Sure I'll deliver it!! As long as you pay for: GAS.. FOOD.. and Lodging ....I could stop off in North Dakota on the way back and drag home another 34 Studebaker... hmmmmmmmmmm... ( If I can borrow my buddies 01 Diesel the fuel mileage would be over 20MPG.. if not my 68 gets 9MPG..) could get kinda of expensive and kill the deal?? LOL
Dave... At this time I plan to put the built 6 in my Honeys 72 Cheyenne shorty fleetside |

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
TTT for ya MARK!
Gents, I got to look this truck over yesterday and it would be a crying sin to scrap it...VERY rust free. Mention of building a trailer came up. Maybe someone here needs a really unique trailer?

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
LOL...Mike... Can't you tell her its for the unfinished trailer project you have been contemplating?????... hint hint....
No worries.... I will give it a couple more days to see what happens then off to the recycler it goes.. I would make a trailer out of it myself.. But.. no need.. no time... nor room, as I have a 72 CST Blazer showing up for parts.. Last edited by Livrat; 01-07-2009 at 10:29 PM. |

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
Just a crazy idea..........How hard would it be to make into a legal trailer. It just seems a waste to have it go to the scraper???

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
The mechanical part is fairly easy.. not sure on the DMV part as I have never done one... anyone in Washington State know what's needed?

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
You have to have it inspected by the State Patrol after it is built. Then you can get a title. Be sure to keep all receipts for anything you buy to build it. Check the DOL website for more info.

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
Mark if you scrap the bed I would be interested in the right fender and tire rack. As long as the fender is decent and not all bondoed. (is bondoed a word?)
I am assuming the long bed fender is the same as a short bed???

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
Dave..
There is no bondo or rust on the passenger fender but it is not what I would call decent and was not planning to remove it. it has several damaged spots on the side wheel well lip.. you should be able to see them in the picture.. I will remove the spare tire rack and hang onto for for you.. If you really are interested in the fender.. let me know ASAP as I intend to head to the scrapper in the morning |

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
What would you take for the taillight and backup light assembly? My Brother needs these pieces for his bed but not sure if he can swing any extra cash right now, please let me know. Dave

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
sounds like the fender isn't worth the trouble. Thanks for checking.

Re: Long box stepside bed (Seattle)
Did the bed go to the scrapper? If not do you want to sell drivers side step? Thanks Jack
