Ann oddball idea just struck for the turn signals. Get two green LEDs and put one each as an additional backlight for the outside gauges.

Here's what I have.
They're basically pilot lights.
All this stuff was in the truck when I bought it from my son, so I'm afraid I can't give you any specifics.

in the bottom or the top of your blank gauge panel (not on the face. the ACTUAL top or bottom...

I'd like to see a strip of sequential LEDs behind a line of holes in the panel.. just small LED's behind some small holes.

so, when you put your directional on, a strip lights and moves along the top edge of your panel.

that would be tits

De nada

I don't particularly like the way the guy did the headlight & wiper switches, just kind of tacky to me.
My kid is just about the "ultimate horse trader" so he swapped something, for something and had the whole new wiring harness & the dash put in.

Just remember the ol' carpenter's rule, "Measure twice, cut once!"

At the time, I knew better than to ask!

Re: Making Gauge Cluster, Need Tips on Turn Signal Lighting?

Here is something that may work.................

This came from another members Thread located Here

Thanks to 38chevyhotrod for the Info.............

In the last picture you can see the little holes making an arrow. I'm putting large leds behind them, that will be my warning lights.
Also did the brake light and the high beam.

Re: Making Gauge Cluster, Need Tips on Turn Signal Lighting?

that's basically what i was thinking... except putting them on the top (squished under the dash pad) so you couldn't see ANY holes... just a strip of light moving.

Do you get what i mean by moving?

p.s. white LEDs

I used some from Socal Speed Shop, They were the nicest I could find but they were about $10 each. They are small and have a nice chrome bezel.
