rear motor mounts

HELP!

63 C-10 6cyl 230

do i have to use both pads on the rear motor mount?

it seems if i use both, it sets the rear of the engine very high putting the drive shaft at a steep angle.

Re: rear motor mounts

Bobcat,

I think one of the set goes under the cross member inside of it and the hold down bolt goes through both pieces. That you are damping the vibration from the frame. Check with other members. Do you have a shop manual. it will show you clearly.

My '60 is set up the same way with upper and lower trans mounts.
