Re: exhaust manifolds on a 5.3?
Rob,
So true, swapping headers is nothing compared to the entire swap. As for the needing headers for modified motors Lowriden, I plan on keeping this motor stock, so the whole need them for more performance thing is out the window there. This is my work/farm truck. Now, when I build my next "fun" project, and I go with LS intake, etc, etc, then I will get headers like that. Orlando

Re: exhaust manifolds on a 5.3?
I just notched my frame a bit to use the stock manifolds and collectors. If its just a work truck expecially. I know what you mean about the pricy headers it is on my list of things to do to my truck, but I figure by the time I get the headers, MSD wires, Locar dip stick and rerun all my exhaust It will be close to a grand to do the swap, so they will wait for now.

Re: exhaust manifolds on a 5.3?
Well,
I just won the GTO manifolds for 57 bux. Seems worth it, I can always re-sell them. Here they are, they look a LOT like the Z06 ones in Rob's thread. Link removed, the link doesn't work unless I go from my won page. I snagged a pic of them off the page... ![]() David, I know what you mean, but I already notched it where the A/C is, and am trying to find a cheaper way to keep it from needing more notching.
